Get out of your head and get into your heart. Think less, feel more

Sometimes life is hard. Situations and circumstances come along that knock us off track. Things that we once took in our stride leave us overwhelmed, exhausted and frazzled.

When we are finding it hard to cope, even small things can become stressful. We find our thoughts dwelling on what might go wrong and we get anxious about things that might never happen.

Life will always throw us curve-balls and the unexpected. How can we become more resilient and more robust?

Together, we can gently uncover the aliveness and strength that is hidden beneath the un-felt and unexpressed. You will discover new ways to be with what was most difficult and your life force can find new ways to be expressed.

This being human is a guest house. Every morning is a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all. Treat each guest honorably. The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in.

Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.

Rumi

I specialise in supporting people who recognise that events and situations that happened in the past are still having a hold today, effecting how they respond and how they relate to the people in their lives. I draw on a toolbox of skills and techniques, Somatic Experiencing being one.

I work with developmental and relational trauma, using somatic approaches to reveal and untangle what is held in the body that disrupts our capacity to be here now.

People also come and see me when they are suffering from a range of problems including:

  • Panic attacks, excessive stress & anxiety

  • Grief, sadness & depression

  • Nightmares & recurring dreams

  • Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

  • Loss of energy & aliveness

  • Syndromes - fibromyalgia, chronic pain, IBS, chronic fatigue
